PIKOM: Ekonomi Digital Malaysia Pada Momentum Menaik Yang Kukuh

Hi Korang,

PERIHAL PIKOM

Committee Chairman Woon Tai Hai

Left: Committee Chairman (Woon Tai Hai), PIKOM Deputy Chairman (Alex Liew) and PIKOM CEO (Ong Kian Yew)

As a metaverse for homeowners, the SofaX app offers an immersive way to envision and create dream homes, complete with the ability to purchase items from leading home decor and furniture brands. The company's dedication to enhancing the home decor experience has resulted in a thriving user base and continues to push the boundaries of what is possible within the realm of virtual home design.

“We embarked on this journey to redefine the home design experience by making it both innovative and convenient. Our goal was to create a one-stop hub where users could seamlessly handle everything from conceptualisation to purchase within a single platform. We continue to emphasise the physical and digital (phygital) experience for our customers via our virtual reality technology and dedicated pool of personal shoppers who provide advisory without sales pressure.” said Mac Lai, Chief Operating Officer.

SofaX goes beyond serving new homeowners, it also extends its services to subsale properties. This inclusivity ensures that all individuals, regardless of the type of property they own, can utilise the app and its services to create and complete their dream spaces. SofaX serves as a seamless bridge between homeowners and furniture retailers or interior design service providers by offering a personal shopper service.

This service combines online research and vision boards with the traditional in-store experience, creating a phygital (physical + digital) experience for homeowners. With its 3D modelling and photorealistic technology, it can generate floor plans for your property and provide high-quality furniture renders. This service among its other offerings caters not only to homeowners but also benefits property developers, interior designers and home furnishing & service provider retailers.

In addition to that, SofaX has a rewards points system that enables users to earn points with every purchase, which can later be redeemed as cash rebates for future purchases.

In order to show gratitude to loyal customers, SofaX ran a ‘Spend and Win’ giveaway from 16th May until 15th August 2023, with over 2000 entries. The aim was to reward users who were moving into a new home or upgraded their current ones by purchasing furniture or other services from the app's merchant partners. For every RM1,000 spent, users were awarded entries. The more entries accumulated, the higher the chances of winning the prizes were. The winners were announced and celebrated earlier today during the SofaX Day festivities at the centre court of the Curve shopping mall.

The three grand prize winners received attractive gifts from partnering brands, including Cuckoo, Daikin, Dyson, Nespresso and Sonos. There were also an additional 10 individuals who received consolation prizes and 9 lucky monthly prize winners whose gifts all amounted to RM27,000. Aside from the exciting prize-giving ceremony, media friends were also invited to join and celebrate SofaX Day.
