“Aid Palestine with Dates” – Inisiatif Amal

“Al-Talia” (a dew from heaven) Palestinian Medjool dates from Jericho   

Inisiatif ini dengan sokongan peruncit Malaysia, tertumpu kepada penjualan kurma Medjool premium dari Jericho di Palestin.

Dikenali sebagai buah ‘kurma berlian’, dibezakan dengan saiz besar dan aroma karamel yang manis, jualannya tepat pada masanya dengan menghampiri bulan Ramadan. Buah kurma Palestin ini sesuai dengan jenama "Al-Talia" yang diterjemahkan dengan indah kepada "embun dari syurga". SFAM adalah sebuah pertubuhan bukan kerajaan yang disahkan oleh Kedutaan Palestin di Malaysia. Ini memastikan bahawa sumbangan itu digunakan secara berkesan dan bertanggungjawab untuk membantu mereka yang memerlukan dalam masyarakat Palestin.

Pada sesi tersebut, Encik Raed Alzawbi, Pegawai Kebudayaan Kedutaan Palestin di Malaysia, turut hadir bersama menyaksikan penyerahan replika cek kepada SFAM.

Malaysia telah lama menyokong perjuangan Palestin dengan menghulurkan bantuan kemanusiaan kepada warga Palestin di Malaysia dan Gaza. Walaupun kerajaan Malaysia baru-baru ini bersetuju untuk menampung yuran pelajar Palestin di universiti awam, mereka serta pelarian Palestin di sini memerlukan bantuan kewangan untuk perbelanjaan seharian mereka.

Ogos lalu sekumpulan rakyat Palestin tiba di Malaysia melalui usaha bersama antara kerajaan Mesir dan Malaysia untuk menerima rawatan perubatan bagi kecederaan yang dialami semasa konflik Gaza.

Menurut Timbalan Menteri Luar Datuk Mohamad Alamin, kerajaan bercadang untuk menubuhkan Hab Kemanusiaan Malaysia di Mesir.

Inisiatif "Aid Palestine with Dates" Euro-Atlantic adalah usaha sederhana ke arah membantu warga Palestin menghadapi kekurangan yang tinggal di Malaysia.
